flavor group sf brought rodenbush on board for their sandisk ugc campaign of tiësto's 'what's next' world tour, conducted during the summer-into-fall months. they required a site that could deliver the tour's promotional audio and video content, while also receiving user-generated video content, via the web, to create his first fan-made video. the site was created utilizing php, xhtml, css, jquery, javascript, flash and htaccess technologies.
the key tasks at hand were:
deploy a fully-functional, media-rich landing page to spec from client-supplied, layered-graphic mock-up files.
develop an efficient, dynamic, function-driven page structure for quick content modification and rapid display.
deliver dynamic content for multiple languages upon browser request as defined by specific urls.
validate, feedback, store mysql data, and retreive content from new registrants upon tos agreement.
interface host server with cdn for automated conversion of uploaded video to professional and viewable formats.
implement a force-downloading mp3 link for the delivery of a promotional track associated with the campaign.
develop a jquery-based emulation of the popular shadowbox library to custom-display the site's uploader form.
create and display terms of service for governing the use of video content as received from the validated form.
develop a back-end control panel for administrative review, rating and system-wide commenting of uploaded clips.
